Centrally situated - the ideal base from which to explore and enjoy the beautiful Eastern Freestate Highlands. 20 minutes drive to Clarens; 35 minutes drive to Golden Gate National Park; 5 minutes from Bethlehem; 90 minutes from Ficksburg; 45 minutes from Fouriesburg, 60 minutes to Rosendal. This rustic cottage, built with local sandstone in 1900, in a beautiful tranquil setting, sleeps 5 people. It has 2 bedrooms, full bathroom, lounge/dining area. Sumptuous breakfasts served. Can also be booked for self catering visits. Barbeque facility. Safe parking. TV. Swimming pool available. Laundry done by prior arrangement. For any activities such as hiking, horse riding, mountain walks, game farms, art routes, quad bike tours, white water rafting, trout fishing, visits to working farms in the area, archeological and dinosaur fossil sites, restaurants -- we will help you plan and book. |

N3 > Heidelberg > Toll gate > Villiers > cross Vaal River > Villiers silo's on your right > left on R51 slipway (opposite silo's)> at stop turn right & cross N3 > after approx 33 km T-junction > turn right > past Frankfort > cross Wilge River > approx 500 meters after crossing Wilge, turn left (R51) > Tweeling > Reitz > Bethlehem. Drive straight through Bethlehem. At last traffic light (Engen Filling Station on your right across road) approx 5 kilometer on N5 (Golden Gate/Harrismith/Durban). Turn right on T5425 for approx 600 meter > La Motte B & B on your left (if you miss the T5425, the next turn off is Clarens/Golden Gate) |
