| Description | Wisp-Will is set against a backdrop of the Witteberg and Maluti and Drakensberg Mountains.
Situated 2,5 hours south of Johannesburg and 2 hours east of Bloemfontein in the rolling hills and grassland of the Riemland. Close to Arlington on the road to Senekal and within easy reach of Rosendal, Clarens and Golden Gate, you will find Kwekwe and Wisp-Will, two magnificent Eastern Free State farms. The airstrip at Wisp-Will makes access to the Game Farm and lodge even easier. Wisp-Will Cottages and Game Farm is set on a 10,000 acre farm, 1,400 acres of which has been allocated to 10 species of game. They specialize in the breeding of award-winning pedigree Simmentaler and Simbra cattle, Merino and Dohne Sheep. Overseas visitors can be fully catered at the main farm house. Accommodation consists of 2 fully equipped self-catering chalets - one with 3 bedrooms, with 2 single beds in each room; the other with a double bedroom and 2 bedrooms with single beds. There is also a 4 bed rondavel, 2 lapas with braai areas (wood is provided) and a central pub and lounge (SABC channels). Bring your own smartcard for other channels. An ideal family destination or executive de-stress gem, activities include game viewing and bird watching, horse riding, mountain biking, tennis, swimming, fishing and 4x4 fun in the Sand River. Hiking trails, spread across the whole 10,000 acres of hills, plateau and river areas will leave you breathless! The scarce prehistoric girdle-tailed lizard colonies, commonly known as 'ouvolk' can also be viewed. |
